Carroll and Madison Counties in Northwest Arkansas are under a Winter Storm Watch in effect from 3:00 Wednesday Morning until the end of the day.
The Flood Warning for Douglass and Ozark Counties has been extended until 7:30 tonight.
The National Weather Service is expecting Winter Weather in parts of the Ozarks tonight into Wednesday.
The Lakes Region seems to be the dividing line for potential for Winter Weather. As of 5:00 am, areas to the south and east of Branson including Taney County are not under any Winter Weather advisories while areas immediately west and north of Branson including Stone and Christian Counties are under a Winter Weather Advisory beginning at 6:00 this evening. Further north and west including Barry, Lawrence, and Greene Counties including the metro Springfield area are under a Winter Weather Advisory which becomes a Winter Storm Watch at 6:00 Wednesday morning and lasts through the day. No Winter Weather Advisories are currently in effect for Northern Arkansas but Winter Precipitation is in the forecast for Wesdnesday.
Possible snow fall amounts in the Lakes Region are predicted to be around 2-3 inches with higher amounts north and west with some sleet also possible in the Northern Arkansas, primarily Wednesday.
The Ozark Mountain Media Group of stations in conjunction with the National Weather Service, the Ozarks First Weather Lab, and Storm Dar Weather will keep up to date on the potential for Winter Precipitation and changes in the forecasts.
